Neighborhood Preservation Supervisor, Town of Queen Creek John Lichtenberger has over 28 years of public service experience. In June 2000 John retired from the Juneau Alaska Police Department after 21 years of service. He worked as a patrol officer, patrol supervisor, investigator and investigations supervisor. In July 2000 he began working for the Town of Queen Creek as the first code enforcement officer. Soon afterwards, he created the Neighborhood Preservation Division with the goal of educating and assisting residents in maintaining their properties and cultivating a climate of neighbor helping neighbor prior to taking punitive action. The Neighborhood Preservation Division is responsible for numerous neighborhood service programs such as the highly successful “Neighborhoods in Bloom” Awards Program. John joins the Leadership Centre with a desire to increase educational opportunities citizens residing in planned communities.
