STAFF Cynthia Dunham Founder & Executive Director, The Leadership Centre Cynthia Dunham is the Former Mayor of the Town of Gilbert. Past professional experience includes owner of a small business accounting firm, and controller for a multi-state contractor. Cynthia has served on many boards and commissions and currently serves on the board of United Food Bank, the East Valley Partnership, and co-chairs the Banner Gateway Medical Centre Festival of Trees. Much of her career has been focused on developing the physical infrastructure of communities. She realizes that if communities are going to be successful, they also need educated and developed "human infrastructure." Community Mediation Service Wendy Hollingshead, MS, has been involved with The Leadership Centre as a volunteer mediator and instructor since 2003 and became Program Coordinator for Solve-It! in 2006. She began her love of mediation at the age of 9, when she was selected to serve as a Conflict Manager in her elementary school. Since, she has volunteered with five community mediation programs and four university conflict resolution initiatives from coast-to-coast, and has completed over 20 certification trainings in various styles of mediation, including Virginia State Supreme Court training in both community and family mediation and small claims mediation training through the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University. Additionally, Wendy has extensive training in victim/offender conferencing, corporate mediation, and large-group facilitation. Wendy is a member of the American Bar Association's Section of Dispute Resolution, the International Association for Conflict Management, and currently serves as Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors of the National Association for Community Mediation. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. at Arizona State University, with a focus on community conflict resolution in market economies.
